Katie, a former expert ice skater (Patterson), is employed through the king of San Senova, Alexander, to assist his daughter in a Christmas ice skating performance.
As Katie spends time inside the citadel and with the king, she and Alex begin to expand emotions for each other and in the long run fall in love.
